In March 2025, it exploded after a video of a young boy, Maverick Trevillian, shouting "67" euphorically in a basketball crowd went viral.

By September 2025, 67 broke into the mainstream and began spreading internationally through traditional media, social platforms, and word of mouth, especially among kids.
